Quarter Day 2.5 hrs $100 per person

The perfect day on the water! This morning and/or early afternoon sail (depends on time of year) will take you out into the Gulf of Mexico to sail the shores of Fort Myers Beach and/or the lighthouse area of Sanibel Island to relax, view wildlife, get some sun, or simply enjoy the art of sailing. Dolphins, rays, and turtles are often seen. Pack a snack, some beverages, lather on some sunscreen, and let us take you for a nautical journey. Day sails offer you more opportunity to view wildlife along with other boats and water sports operating offshore Fort Myers Beach and Sanibel.

Sunset Sail 2.5 hrs $115 per person

There is only one sunset per day and nothing is more romantic and magical than sailing aboard a beautiful sailboat at sunset in the Gulf of Mexico. We’ll set sail 2 hrs before sunset and sail along the shores of Fort Myers Beach and/or the lighthouse area of Sanibel Island. Your Captain will set you up for the most beautiful pictures of your entire trip. The crew won’t be held responsible for your uncontrolled romantic moves, especially as day turns to night as we head for home when the sun goes down. You’ll be inspired after this sail. Hands down our favorite sail to operate. This sail is usually in high demand during season, so book early! Pack some adult beverages and snacks and let the sails kiss the sun. Not available June 1- Oct 1 due to summer thunderstorm/rainy season pattern each evening.

Private Half Day 4 hrs $800

This sail is designed for the sailor wanting more time sailing who also wants to torture their non-sailing and elderly guests they bring along to fill the boat. We’ll sail along the shores of Fort Myers Beach and/or the lighthouse area of Sanibel Island. This tour is private for up to 6 guests. This tour sails the same waters as our other tours, but gives you much more time sailing. Depending on time of year, this tour will depart between 10am and 12noon.

Private 3 hr “Learn the Basics of Sailing” $700

Learn the fundamentals of sailing with this special 3 hr morning sail. Your Captains will talk your ear off as you dive into the sailing lifestyle. You and the Captains will be able to “Nerd Out” on sailing as we discuss sailboat hardware, sailboat design, the physics of sailing, rules of the road, and “hands on” sailing experience. Tacking, jibing, sail trim, and reading the wind. 30 minutes will be at the dock and the rest of the time on the water. This experience is for a group up to 6 that want sailing instruction and sharing of knowledge. This experience won’t have the relaxation and personal time of our other offerings. Recommended for couples or small families that want to get into sailing or just understand it. We are not ASA certified instructors and we aren’t a sailing school. We are long time self taught sailors. No book work required.

Private 2 hr Photo Shoot $600

This is a special 2 hour photo shoot session aboard Orion’s Child for up to a total of 6 guests (including photographer). We know that a professional photographer of your choice charges by the hour so we designed this special offering that has us hussle out to the Gulf, work with your photographer to set up the boat for perfect lighting, and get you back to shore before the hour meter clicks over again. It’s not a sightseeing sail, but a focused, professionally styled experience ideal for capturing unforgettable moments on the water—whether you’re planning a proposal, engagement shoot, holiday fun, brand session, maternity portraits, family album update, or simply want beautiful content in a stunning setting. This short session is perfect for guests who want visual impact without a long sail. *This sail is intended for photo shoots only and is not designed as a general sightseeing or pleasure cruise. How to dress and what to bring:

No matter what we believe in our perfect world, WEATHER HAPPENS. I watch the weather all the time and I pretty much know what the next day will bring, but if you are visiting the area there are some general rules:

-Bare feet only. Boat shoes allowed during cooler weather only and by notice from Captain the day of. Shoes will be collected at boat.

-Small cooler. Soft sided preferred. Coffin sized coolers will be left at the dock.

-Bathing suit. Great time to get a tan

-Hat, sun screen & lip balm for extra sun protection (No Bronzers/Tanners-stains boat)

-Camera & binoculars, there’s a lot of wildlife in our neck of the sea along with crazy boaters.

-Layer up, it can get cool in the evening when the sun sets and the wind is in our sails.

-An open mind and a Spirit of adventure.

All tours depart and return to Salty Sam’s Marina. Each tour includes approximately 15 minutes of motoring in/out of the harbor past the shrimp fleet, restaurants/bars, and beautiful homes. Your Captain will make all weather judgements day of the sail. We only cancel if winds are sustained above 25 knots, rain is anticipated, or sea conditions make for an uncomfortable ride. We don’t guarantee wildlife, wind, perfect sunny weather, or your general happiness. We promise a sailboat adventure. If winds are very light, we’ll turn the motor on and keep you moving in search of wind.
